Shawn Ket

Shawn is a CEO and business leader who has significantly grown organisations, in a career which has spanned a wide range of industry verticals. He now draws on his executive management experience and people skills to provide personal, hands on consulting services at senior levels, with a focus on developing higher performance through strategy, people and their leaders.

Shawn’s leadership career began in Manufacturing. This experience led to senior leadership roles in the TAFE/VET sector, followed by corporate roles as Deputy CEO of IT Company QANTM and Head of Australian Operations for Credit Corp, an ASX listed leader in the finance sector, before he turned his hand to consulting and truly found his passion.

At the Australian Institute of Management, where he was General Manager, he expanded the business and management consulting, corporate L&D and executive coaching businesses, before taking the role as General Manager of Chandler Macleod Consulting and then as CEO of Davidson Consulting and HR Solutions where he built the business from concept/strategy through to a formidable competitor and leader in the national consulting marketplace.

Over the last decade whilst leading and growing organisations, Shawn never set aside his passion for hands-on consulting, advisory and individual and team coaching to some of Australia’s great organisations, including Dyno Nobel, Super Retail Group, Macarthur Coal and BHP Billiton, as well as many Government departments, authorities and corporations, including Queensland Health, the Public Service Commission and TAFE Queensland.

Shawn’s qualifications and extensive experience and background span 2 broad professional areas:>

1. CEO and General Manager with an exemplary strategy, executive leadership, management and financial track record. Demonstrated capability in business growth, financial management, sales, marketing, technology, project management, product development, quality, customer service, change management, people management and innovation.

2. Experienced strategic human resources practitioner in Organisational Design and Development, Leadership Development, Learning and Development, Executive Coaching, Workforce Retention and Reward, Succession Strategy, Recruitment and Selection and People Management through direct executive management experience, as well as high level consulting to a range of industry sectors including Manufacturing, Construction, Professional Services, Retail, Finance, Resources and Government.
